What is a frame in HTML

A frame can have different attributes. The first is the frameborder. Here, if the programmer writes the frameboarder attribute as 0, it means that there is no need of displaying a border. However,  if he writes 1, it means to display a border around the frame. Next, there is marginwidth and marginheight. The marginwidth denotes the left and right margins of the frame.

Similarly, marginheight denotes the top and bottom margins of the frame. Moreover, the name attribute specifies the name of the frame. Meanwhile, the no resize attribute specifies that the frame is not resizable while the scrolling specifies to display or not to display the scrollbars in a frame. Finally, src is also an important attribute. It denotes the URL of the documents to show in a frame.

What is a frameset in HTML

Tag defines a frameset element. It is capable of holding one or many frames. Similar to a frame, browsers such as Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox support frameset.

A frameset can have attributes such as cols and rows. The cols specify the number and size of columns in the frameset whereas rows denote the number and size of rows in a frameset. The values of those attributes can be in pixels or in percentage, which defines the required space.
