What is AirAsia?

AirAsia Berhad (MYX:5099) (styled as AirAsia) is a Malaysian low-cost airline and its headquarters is near Kuala Lampur Malaysia. It is the largest airline in Malaysia by fleet size and destination, AirAsia Group operates scheduled domestic and international to more than 165 destinations spanning 25 countries. The name of the airline “Vistara” comes from the Sanskrit word meaning limitless expansion, Tata Sons (India) and Singapore Airlines formed Vistara as a joint venture. It began operations as a domestic premium airline in 2015, and it now has a fleet of over 30 aircraft, including Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft, flying to around 20 destinations, largely in India, but it has lately added international flights to Singapore, Bangkok, and Dubai.

Vistara was recently identified as the sixth-largest domestic airline, it is on its way to becoming a well-known international airline, and has recently received authorization from the Indian government to begin international flight operations. The airline’s worldwide expansion ambitions, which include long-haul flights from India, have been made public. The airline is aiming to buy more Boeings for its regional growth. According to the airline, the foreign flight growth will begin with European and Asian destinations before moving on to North America and Australia.
